Abstract

Formal analysis of invertebrate Spain in the course of its composition, from press articles to the different phases of the book-form. Study of the essayistic nature of the book and study of the essay as an agent of the assembling of the different parts/texts of the book.

Author Biography

Francisco José Martín, Universidad de Turín

Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Turin and researcher at the Ortega Studies Center of the Ortega-Marañón Foundation. He is the author of La tradición velada. Ortega y el pensamiento humanista (The Veiled Tradition: Ortega and Humanist Thought) and editor of España invertebrada (Invertebrate Spain) and Fiesta de Aranjuez (The Aranjuez Festival), as well as the compilation Intelectuales y reformistas. La generación de 1914 en España y América (Intellectuals and Reformists: The Generation of 1914 in Spain and America).
