Author Biography

José Lasaga Medina, Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia

High school philosophy teacher, professor of philosophy at the UNED, and researcher at the Ortega-Marañón Foundation. He has published José Ortega y Gasset. Life and Philosophy (1883-1955) (2003); Metamorphosis of the Seducer. Essay on the Myth of Don Juan (2004); Figures of the Good Life. Essay on the Moral Ideas of Ortega y Gasset (2006); Ortega y Gasset: Anthology (2012); Life of Hannah Arendt (2017); and, in collaboration with Antonio López Vega, Ortega y Marañón Facing the Crisis of Liberalism (2017). He has also edited The Lost Steps. Writings on Ortega y Gasset by José Gaos (2013) and several works by Antonio Rodríguez Huéscar, such as Ethos and Logos (Madrid: Uned, 1996) and From Platonic Love to Freedom (2009).
