Abstract

This essay rebuilds some ideas present in the earlies works of Ortega in order to show his respect and permeability towards religious sense. For this, it recovers the context and sense in which Ortega used for first time the notion of world beyond and it analyzes the phenomenology of artistic-religious feelings as well as the worlds beyond associated to the experience in a Gothic and a Romanesque cathedral. In the same way, attention is paid to feelings and religiosity linked to the pedagogy of the landscape, in order to analyze the world beyond of nature and the Ortega’s conception of God collected in the Meditations on Quixote.

Sonia E. Rodríguez García, Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia

PhD in Philosophy from the UNED. Assistant Professor at the same university. She has conducted research stays at McGill University (Montreal, Canada, 2011), the University of Jyväskylä (Jyväskylä, Finland, 2012), and the University of Lisbon (Lisbon, Portugal, 2013). Fellow at the Institute of Educational Technologies (ITE) of the Ministry of Education (2009-2010). Her areas of research include philosophy of religion, philosophical anthropology, and Spanish philosophy. Among her many publications, we can highlight Buscando significados, reencantado el mundo.
