Abstract

This work tries to integrate the Ortega vitalreason philosophy with his political thinking. Ortega has been characterised traditionally as a liberal. At the same time, his philosophy is an intent for overcoming Modernity. In this sense he rejects some of Modernity fundamental suppositions that are also liberlism suppositions. As a consequence, Ortega sees the necessity of review liberalism and he does it in the republicanism way. This new conception that has its centre in the idea of autonomy, will influence in a project that integrates socialism, aristocracy and nationalization.
