Number Three, Triadic Harmony, and Salvation in Ortega y Gasset, Fray Luis de León, Saint John of the Cross, and Claudio Rodríguez

Abstract

One of the keys that we can observe into the daily language is the presence of the triad as conceptual support. In the authors we study here, we can confirm the triadly structure and the number third as a constant reference in their work. That’s, since diverse conceptualizations about the harmony, Leibniz’s studies about the algebraic number in García-Bacca’s research about Ortega’s triads, or the presence of the poetic triad in the Claudio Rodríguez’s, San Juan’s, or Fray Luis’s works, we can see the importance of the triad as the logic solution for the excessive validity of the dual thought.
