María Zambrano complains about the increasing importance that the circumstance was acquiring in Ortega y Gasset’s works, to the detriment of “me”. This article penetrates into the role that the circumstance played in Ortega y Gasset's works, specially into his aesthetic reflections. It shows clearly both components of the human life: I and circumstance. Both with an element of destination. Nevertheless the circumstance is imposed in his philosophy and it sanctions the comprehension of the vital reason as historical reason.
