Abstract

What reading is and how reading takes place is still one of the darkest issues. In fact, we read but we ignore what reading means. Today’s readers, who are supposedly in danger of extinction, have not learnt yet what reading is. In this article we are going to try, with Ortega’s help, to shed some light on this wonderful and pedagogically fundamental reading experience.
