Abstract

This paper intends to articulate the main concepts of Ortega’s metaphysics around the imperatives of veracity and system. To develop these concepts we part from a conception of Ortega's philosophy based on: the joyful acceptance of reality, the hygiene of ideals, cleanliness of mind, the capacity of turning limitation into virtue, the ability of living in uncertainty and the recognition of pluralism. The implementation of these ideas in Ortega's philosophy implies the recognition of living as radical reality and performative being and the philosophy as an open system.
