Abstract

The phenomenology that Ortega develops between 1912 and 1914 can not be considered like a simple continuation of Husserl developed. In contrast to the “fenomenológical reduction” and “trascendental self”, he will realise the thesis of “executive self”. Here it will locate the root of all philosophical thought and will try to surpass the secular opposition between idealism and realism. In this way Ortega proposes the conjunction of “self” with the things, what later it will call “life like radical reality” and the place in which “I am I and my circumstance”.
