Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to show to what extent the orteguian conception of living as pure executivity and evidentiality was decisive in the formation of the mature notion of the concept of belief.

Author Biography

Alba Milagro Pinto

Doctor of Philosophy from the UNED and secondary school teacher at IES Tomás Mingot in Logroño. Her main areas of research are Spanish philosophy, specifically the work of Ortega y Gasset.

Her main publications include “Veracidad y sistema en Ortega” (Truthfulness and System in Ortega), Revista de Estudios Orteguianos, 24 (2012), and “Ortega y la crítica de la razón científica” (Ortega and the Critique of Scientific Reason), Brocar: cuadernos de investigación histórica, 33 (2009).
