A rescued article by José Ortega y Gasset (On the intervention of the powers in the Russian Civil War)

Abstract

In 1919, Manuel Nuñez de Arenas requested the collaboration of some Spanish intellectuals for the newspaper La Internacional, among them José Ortega y Gasset. What was requested was a public position on the intervention of the powers in the Russian civil war, and in a context marked by the recent creation of the Third International. Despite being cited in a 1972 book by Manuel Tuñón de Lara, this article was considered lost and not confirmed as part of the Ortega corpus of texts, since it was not possible to find any copy of the newspaper in question. Until it was found in a Dutch archive.
