Author Biography

Clementina Cantillo, Universidad de Salerno

Full professor of the history of philosophy at the University of Salerno. Her main areas of research focus on modern and contemporary philosophical culture (from Descartes to Vico, from Hegelian thought to its interpretation in the work of Ortega y Gasset). Her most recent research analyzes the historical constitution and “articulation” of thought, alongside and beyond its explicit forms, through a “metaphorical-figurative” dimension. Since the beginning of her studies, she has also cultivated a philosophical-musical interest, which has given rise to numerous publications aimed at uncovering the connections between philosophy and music. Some of his publications include Forme e figure del pensiero (2006) and Concetto e metafora. Saggio sulla storia della filosofia in Hegel (2007), Musica e filosofía (2007), and Helden und Ritter: Substantielles und individuelles Handeln bei Hegel (2008).
