Abstract

The integrative, liberal and inclusive position from which Ortega y Gasset develops his thinking, and in particular also what is exposed in The revolt of the masses, calls into question certain interpretations that consider it an elitist theory, which could dismiss the More, and justify or legitimize that the leadership of the society was in charge of a privileged exclusionary minority. On the contrary, Ortega explains the interaction between mass and minority as a natural happening in constant fluctuation, being possible that every man exerts in the minority and in the mass, in different moments and spheres of his life.
